WHO WE ARE
Fly Pink Hong Kong was formed in 2015 by a small group of female pilots of Cathay Pacific Airways after being inspired by a similar initiative from QantasLink pilots. Currently it is run by a core volunteer team of 4 flight crew members.
The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF) was set up on 8 March 2005, as a non-profit charitable organisation dedicated to mitigating the threat of breast cancer to the local community through education, patient support, research and advocacy.

In support of Fly Pink, various aviation companies in Hong Kong are joining forces with the flight crew of Cathay Pacific Airways by swapping out their gold or silver epaulettes for pink ones, or wearing the HKBCF pin.

The Fly Pink team also hosts a variety of other fund raising initiatives during the month of October.
WHAT WE DO
CHARITY SALES

Various items are sold to staff at Cathay City as well as members of the public at various events, to raise funds for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. We have also included a few items to support the Movember foundation in a dual fundraising effort. All of the profit from Fly Pink branded merchandise goes to the HKBCF, after production cost and admin fees were deducted. In the case of external collaboration with vendors, the amount donated to the HKBCF will be clearly displayed.
PARTICIPATING IN FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES.
Each year a variety of activities are conducted to add to the charity drive. Previous activities included a Fun walk, BBQ event, Bake sale, Fun Hike and Online Yoga. Â
Due to the current government restrictions on mass events, we are expanding our fund raising efforts by holding virtual challenges and encouraging participants to donate in this way.
CREATING AWARENESS

Pilots swop their gold or silver epaulettes for pink ones and Cabin crew wear the HKBCF Pink Ribbon to create awareness and show support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Â Various leaflets from the Hong Kong Breast Cancer foundation is also available on the merchandise table for any one who requires more information. An Information Day by the HKBCF representatives have also been held at Cathay City.
