2019 -  BAKE SALE,  
PINK GIN & BOEREWORS

In 2019 we decided to add a Bake Sale and Boerewors BBQ & Gin evening to our fund raising activities.  All aspiring bakers were given the opportunity to donate their home made goodies to the FlyPink initiative and then sold on the "Street". Unfortunately, due to the security situation at Hong Kong Airport at the time, our request for a second Fly Pink fun walk was denied. The walk was specifically intended to raise money for Reach4Recovery Cancer foundation in South Africa.  So, in keeping with the South African theme, we hosted a Boerewors (South African sausage) and Pink Gin evening. To our great fortune, it co-incided with the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup between New Zealand and Wales, so a TV screen was erected at the event to entertain the guest. Spot prizes were also handed out at the event, much to everyones delight.
